about
Thirteen year old Megan Simpson has written and recorded a 'potential chart topping' song to raise funds for local homeless charities in Cambridge.
All profits from downloading Megan's song will go directly to Cambridge Cyrenians and WinterComfort - who support those who are homeless or vulnerably housed in the Cambridge area. For example: two downloads will cover the equivalent of the cost of a hot breakfast for a homeless person.
lyrics
lyrics..
I wake up alive
But only just
A car crashes by
On this unknown street
The clatter somewhere
I hear my heart beat
This song to my life
Droning on and on (..and on)
Oh, what the hell is happening here
A life that's ruined do they care (yeah…)
All I have is my time, drifting by
My life, slipping by
The sky as a roof
the pavement at your head
the world chilles my bones with its icy hand
I am ok
I am breathing
But somethings not there
What a home, what a life should I care?
Oh, what the hell is happening here
A life that's ruined do they care (yeah…)
All I have is my time, drifting by
Drifting by (yeah…)
Walking by, yeah.
